My Story

Math has always been a love of mine—so much so that I earned a PhD in Mathematical Sciences. You don’t get much more “math nerd” than that! Growing up, I spent my free time working through math workbooks for fun. Thankfully, math came naturally to me, and I was fortunate to have some truly inspiring teachers along the way. At my core, I’ve always been someone who loves solving problems.

Although I spent much of my career in the corporate world—working at incredible companies like AOL, PayPal, Amazon, and Hearst—I always had a strong pull toward education. I jumped at every opportunity to mentor, volunteer, or get into a classroom. Along the way, I was lucky to blend teaching into my professional life, including working with elementary students on Scratch coding projects, teaching analytics seminars at Syracuse University, and teaching evening Calculus courses at Loyola University Maryland. Tutoring and working with students has always brought me joy, and I’m thrilled to now focus more fully on this passion.

My journey into college advising began with my own three kids. The first round was overwhelming—we spent countless hours researching schools, juggling test scores, sports eligibility, rankings, and costs. With three children, every decision felt multiplied. That first experience was stressful but full of learning. By the time it came to help our next two children, we had completely revamped our approach to reduce stress and create a smoother, more student-centered process. And it worked—everyone was more confident, the process was manageable, and all three kids ended up at schools that were a great fit, with strong scholarships and, most importantly, happiness.

I started sharing what I learned with friends, especially around admissions strategy and merit aid. Eventually, they encouraged me to turn this into something bigger—and that’s how this business began. Today, I feel incredibly lucky to support other families through this journey. I’m here to help however I can.
